BOE election

Alden-Hebron School District #19 will have four (4), four-year school board seats to be filled with the April 6, 2021 election.

To be eligible to serve as a school board member for District 19, you must, on the date of election, be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a resident of the state of Illinois and of District 19 for at least one year immediately preceding the election, and a registered voter.

Candidates for the school board are required to file the following papers: Statement of Candidacy; Receipt for filing the Statement of Economic Interests; Nominating petition sheets. These papers need to be filed with the County Clerk between December 14 and December 21, 2020.

Candidates may begin circulating nominating petitions beginning on September 22, 2020. Blank nominating petitions may be obtained from the county clerk, or downloaded from the State Board of Elections website, http://www.elections.il.gov/. The “2021 Candidate’s Guide”, as well as more information regarding requirements for filing may also be found on the State Board of Elections website.
