Alden-Hebron School District 19 is pleased to announce that the Board of Education has named Mrs. Tiffany Elswick as the next superintendent of schools starting July 1st, 2021. She will succeed Dr. Debbie Ehlenburg, who has served as our Interim Superintendent.  Mrs. Elswick spent the first 15 years of her career as an educator in McHenry School District 15 with 7 years in the classroom and 8 years as an administrator.  Mrs. Elswick currently is the principal of Alden-Hebron Elementary School and assistant superintendent of the district.  She will be starting her 20th year in the field of education.

     Over the last four years, Mrs. Tiffany Elswick has proven herself to be the best fit to carry forward the vision of our District. Her ability to drive academic excellence at Alden-Hebron Elementary School, along with her passion for working with students and families in our community, demonstrates her capability to succeed in this new role.

     Mrs. Elswick has completed the Superintendent Endorsement and Licensure from Aurora University.  She is finishing up the doctoral program in Educational Leadership through Aurora as well. Prior to obtaining her superintendent licensure, she earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University; a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Leadership from Saint Xavier University; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University.

     “The Board of Education is excited that Mrs. Tiffany Elswick will be the new leader for Alden-Hebron School District 19.  I believe incredible things can happen in a school where students are challenged, they have choices about their education, and have options of a variety courses in a multiple educational settings.” Board President Mike Norton said. “We need leadership willing to take risks and put energy and enthusiasm into their work to let the kids know how important their education will be for their future development. I’m excited to begin this journey with Mrs. Elswick as she brings a spirit of teamwork and a commitment to our youth.”
