🎓SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Alden-Hebron's "I Decided" campaign features & celebrates the post-secondary plans of the Class of 2025.
AHHS senior, Zachary Lillie: Ever since I first met my recruiter in my junior year, joining the Marine Corps became a calling. The day I turned 17, I signed the papers to join. A few days later, I went to MEPS where I passed all medical examinations and was officially sworn in. I signed up to be in 4 years of active duty where for 1 year I will be a military police officer and 3 years as a dog handler/trainer. Joining the corps will set me up for life with skills, give me a whole different view of life, and provide me with benefits. I can't wait to serve and give back to my country.
AHHS: Grand Canyon University visited for our "College and Career Readiness" lunch and learn series. The Grand Canyon University rep answered student questions, shared materials/resources, shared information about different programs, and provided information about scholarships offered.

Normal practice times for everyone except HS boys will move to 7:00-9:00. LCTC: Tour of Tech, our annual open house, is on Thursday, November 14th, from 4:30-7:30.
This is an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their parents to explore what Tech offers.

AHHS: Career Day at McHenry County College
The 2024 Career Day was held at MCC on Friday, November 1st.
After attending the welcome session, the AHHS students went to three breakout sessions of their choice. There were several different sessions to choose from, which included career topics such as healthcare, graphic design, legal careers, engineering, welding and automotive, fine arts, and more.
