AHHS: College & Career Lunch and Learn sessions are held in the high school hallway from 10:54- 11:24 a.m. Students have the opportunity to learn about various colleges, career options, job and military opportunities, majors/certifications to pursue, and ask the representatives questions.

AHMS: --In a presentation and engaging activity, 6th and 7th grade students connected post-secondary education with career options. The brief presentation introduced students to ways they can identify their interests, explore related careers, and the basics of post-secondary education--including how to prepare in high school. The interactive activity encouraged exploration of education and training after high school, future careers, and money management.

AHMS: 8th Grade finished their bridges and had the chance to test how much weight they could hold. Some of them cracked under pressure, but others were able to hold the max amount of about 3,600 pennies. All the groups did an amazing job and there was a variety of designs. Great job Eighth Graders!

Just a reminder the HS Volleyball game originally scheduled vs. Parkview Christian has been cancelled for tonight. Middle School 6th grade games vs. Emmons are still on for tonight starting at 4:00. The HS Football game Friday night at AFC has been cancelled due to AFC having to many injuries and being unable to play. Next weeks game at South Beloit is on as scheduled.

AHHS: AH Seniors took part in a FSA ID workshop 9/27. The FSA ID will be used to complete the FAFSA. Don't forget: AHHS will host a "FAFSA COMPLETION WORKSHOP" *Oct. 13 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM *Visit StudentAid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch to create an FSA ID. You'll need your Social Security number, full name, and date of birth. You'll also need to create a memorable username and password, and complete challenge questions and answers so you can retrieve your account information if you forget it.
